Freecycle
Post items to donate, search for free items, within a local geographical area
of your choosing. Membership is free. Everything posted must be free. The
Freecycle™ Network was started in May 2003 to promote waste reduction
in Tucson's downtown and help save desert landscape from being taken over
by landfills. The network provides individuals and non-profits an electronic
forum to "recycle" unwanted items.
PeninsulaOnline
Provides free local classifieds for the Peninsula area online.
San
Mateo County Surplus Property Sales
The County offers previously used items for sale, such as furniture and computer
equipment. Sales are held in San Carlos twice-monthly.
Craigslist
Provides free classifieds in a platform for folks to help each other out with
"everyday stuff."
